In Mid-January 2023, Tractors Singapore Limited, together with Cat Large Electric Power Solutions team, performed Singapore's first Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) fuel proof of concept run on Cat diesel engine and generator set. We are proud to share that the test run was a success!
TSL E&T team ran a series of test on 100% HVO fuel and another series of test with blended fuel - 50% HVO, 50% conventional fossil fuel diesel. These 2 tests were to help the team understand if Cat gensets were able to perform the same compared to conventional fuel, and the emissions from HVO fuel.
This is aligned with the Singapore's government initiative to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050 and also Sime Darby's vision - Delivery Sustainable Futures.
