Course Outline
This course is designed to train technician/mechanic on the systems, operations and maintenance of the Cat® D3500 diesel engine. At end of this course, participants will acquire the knowledge and skills to carry out maintenance work including basic troubleshooting of this engine.
Participants who satisfy assessment requirements will be issued certificates.
Participants may consider D3500 Advanced Diesel Engine System Operations & Maintenance for further their skills and knownledge on the Cat D3500 diesel engine.
Pre-requisites
- Experience with diesel engines
- Basic electrical knowledge
- Understands English
Course Objectives
- Familiarize with electronic sensors and engine components.
- Able to describe the operations of the MUEI Injector Fuel system and other engine systems.
- Operate the Cat engine control panel; MPD and EMCP panel.
- Able to perform daily checks and maintenance in accordance with the Operations and Maintenance Manual.
- Able to explain and perform Valve Clearance, Injector Height Setting and Timing checks;
- Familiarise with fault codes to perform basic troubleshoot.
