Training Schedule

This course is designed to train technician/mechanic on the systems, operations and maintenance of the Cat^_® C7.1 Diesel common rail engine. At end of this course, participants will acquire the knowledge and skills to carry out maintenance work including basic troubleshooting of this engine. Participants who satisfy assessment requirements will be issued certificates.

1. Experience with diesel engines
2. Basic electrical knowledge 
3. Understands English

1. Familiarize with electronic sensors and engine components.
2. Able to describe the operations of common rail fuel system and other engine systems.
3. Identify the engine customer end electrical connection.
4. Able to perform daily checks and maintenance in accordance with the Operations and Maintenance Manual.
5. Able to explain and perform Valve Clearance and Fuel Injection Pump Timing checks.
6. Identify the fault codes.
7. Customer devices connection; eg. Monitoring, throttle & etc.
